What Thumbnail Quality Can You Download?
The tool retrieves the highest available resolution from the supported thumbnail versions it checks. Some videos offer an HD thumbnail at 1280 × 720; others have only smaller versions. The dimensions shown beneath each preview tell you exactly what you are getting.

These are common sizes — not every video has every version. YouTube’s thumbnail documentation describes the available variants and notes that dimensions can differ. When a larger version is unavailable, the tool falls back to the next smaller one. If a temporary network issue prevents a reliable check, it asks you to retry.
A 4K video does not guarantee a 4K thumbnail. This tool does not upscale images or recover the creator’s original upload. It saves the available JPG as-is; ZIP is the container for multiple JPGs, not a different image format. PNG and WebP conversion are not available.

Troubleshooting YouTube Thumbnail Downloads
A link is marked invalid
Paste the complete video URL, one link per line. Bare video IDs, channel addresses, and playlist-only links are not accepted. Invalid lines are listed so you can correct them; valid links in the same batch still process normally.
The batch has more than 20 videos
Split your list into batches of 20 unique video links or fewer. The tool stops an oversized batch instead of silently dropping extras. Save results before using Clear all to start a new batch.
A thumbnail is unavailable or a request fails
Confirm the link opens the intended video, then choose Retry. The image may genuinely be unavailable, or a temporary network problem may have interrupted the request. If you have made many requests in a short period, wait briefly before retrying. A failed item does not block you from saving the other successful thumbnails.
The ZIP button is disabled or the file has not appeared
Select at least one successful result and wait for active processing to finish. After downloading, check your browser’s downloads list. A “prepared” message means the file is ready for the browser to save — it does not confirm the file is on disk. If preparing a ZIP fails, retry or download the JPGs individually.
